I have a nov 2015 Outlander GX3 2.3 Turbo diesel and so far my service pricing for the first 3 years has been around £600, £700, £500 and now the 4th year service is due I have been quoted £1014 by my Mitsubishi main dealer. This is Porsche pricing surely. When questioned, I was told that its a major service and the engine needs to come apart and have all the seals replaced etc. My friend has a Mercedes and his major service cost less than £400. Why is this pricing so ridiculously high on Outlanders and do I really need to pay this? I used to have a Ford galaxy and the major service on that was £250 from a main Ford dealer. Is there a cheaper way of having it serviced? What do other Outlander customers do? Thanks in advance.
