99 Galant air intake ??'s

Has anyone removed the resinator on the air intake of the 3.0 motor? If so what did you use to plug up the hole left behind by the missing resinator?

What is the part # for a K&N filter for the 3.0 V6?

I appreciate any information provided.

The k&N part # for the stock air filter is 33-2072.
