Default Exhaust ? Please Help

Now I dont post on here often and i tried lookin around but couldnt find the exact thing i was lookin for so if u have a link then just post that. Im lookin at an exhaust and am torn between an apexi N1 and a greddy evo 2. Heard good things about both but also heard the evo rust pretty easy and doesnt stand up to everyday wear and tear. any thoughts? any comments would be much appreciated.thanks

I have the Apexi N1 and I have had it for about two years now. I love it and it has never caused me any problems or rusted.

Also does adding headers make your exhaust sound different? Ive heard a few ppl say that after adding headers they werent as happy with their evo 2 exhaust cuz it made it a higher pitched or ricy soundin exhaust. I guess its just all about personal opinion but who hates to have a 500 dollar guess n check you know what i mean?

it also seems as if the greddy is much more popular in the sport compact world... any car u see in a magazine has a freakin greddy evo 2 on it but im still undecided.

headers will make it louder and more raspy.

Greddy is not very deep in tone and not very loud the intake noise at high RPMs if you have a CAI will be louder than the EVOII

the N1 is louder deeper and has a small amoput of rasp to it on some cars. I personally like the N1 better than the EVOII\

About the rust not really true with the EVOII the EVOI is non stainless and that rusts easy. the EVOII is made stainless inorder to hold up to the elements better. put it this way I had a N1 non stainless and it never rusted in Ma winters and all that. Just take care of it. My EVOs full turboback it all stainless and I clean the entire thing when I wax my car... I climb under it and do the full exhaust so there isnt even a spec of dirt on it

no matter what exhaust you put on there you probably wont get that deep sound just because of the car.

N1 will still be deep that is what I had on my GS but it got kindof raspy on the highway and sounded bad to other cars incar always sounded good. on the highway I can only decribe it as the exhaust sounded like a plastic bag was wrapped over the muffler

I have also heard that gettin headers without some sort of aftermarket exhuast is worthless. Is that a true statement or not?
