Default Mechanical or Electrical Exhaust Cutouts?

i want to do a bypass, and put a stock muffler on the car to make it look like a sleeper. ive been told that the electrical cutouts clog up.. and that i should use cable operated ones. has anyone used these and does anyone have opinions on the electric ones?
