I have a '97 eclipse gs-t spyder...im looking to put an exhaust on it, and im looking for an exhaust with that turbo-back WRX sound... i love the sound of that exhuast...neone know what exh. apps for my car that have the same sound?

 

sorry but i dont think an eclipse will ever sound quite like a wrx. exhasuts vary a little in sound between brands, but in general the engine is the reason it sounds the way it does. If you have no exhaust yet adding one is just going to make it a little deeper and a bit louder. I personally would go with apex N1 but greddy is probably a little louder. If you really want that throaty sound you're going to need a downpipe and either high flow cat or test pipe.

 

HKS Carbon TI has that throaty sound. But yeah like what DSMTalonAWD51 said, youre gunna need a bigger downpipe and straight pipe all the way back to the muffler to get somewhere close to the sound your after.

 

yeh, im not sure how to explain it...im looking for that bubbling turbo-back sound on idle, and then a deeper when u get on it

 

Yea I know the excact sound your talking about, a few of my friends have wrx's, and one of them has Invidia exhaust. It sounds so awesome and mean. The only way I can say to do it is to get a 3 inch downpipe and 3 inch straight pipe all the way back to like an HKS Carbon/Ti or Apex N-1 muffler. Thats gunna be the closest combo I think.

 

now thats the boxer engines bro.....i, dont think eclipse 4g63 will sound like the boxer engine.
