Just make a leak tester, you'll find all of the smaller leaks that way. Also might want to try some water and soap. The air will make the soap bubble.

ORIGINAL: Sebba
Not that simple
true that 8 times out of 10 you won't hear a leak from just reving it up.... BUT if he has a big leak (like a missing gasket on the bov or something) than he will be able to hear it... it's something free and can't hurt to try.

so once i took off the stock you think thats what caused the boost leak....so does a boost leak cause your car to miss too??? cuz it misses just sitting there idling. so where should i check for the boost leak at????

well, if its missing then that means its plug and/or wires.....check for leaks from the turbo all the way through the side mount and up to the throttle body, the only way you can do this is if you make a boost leak tester. Do a search on DSM Tuners and you will come up with about 3-4 different testers yo can make. If you do your shopping right you can buy it for less that $10 and having a boost gauge comes in handy at this point because you need to know how much pressure your putting into the pipes....

Yes... a big enough boost leak will cause you to miss.. and the car will idle like crap.

Put everything on... and you attach the boost leak tester to the turbo. You remove the intake and put the boost leak tester in its place... obviously making sure that its tight
