Default 96 Eclipse Audio Wiring

Okay i have a 96 Eclpse GST and the idiot befor me took out everything except the two speakers in the doors and the amp under the passangers seat. I went to best buy today to get a quote on a system and they were like is it infinity sound system stock and i remeber on the amp it said infinity so i said when. They were like thats going to be a bithc because they have to rewire the car and all that jaz. Do you think $300 for instalation alone is good or bad for the amount of work that needs to be done.

installation is nooooot really that bad... seriously, it can be done fairly easy, even without taking the carpet off. If you dont have many tooling skills well, you might look into paying that, but if you are kinda good with manual labour, its not that bad... for the back speakers is a question of removing the back pannels, not much of a problem, but can be a bitch, door pannels, pft, easy, te tweeters on the dash, well im not sure about that, the rewiring from the stereo is taking out the plastic interiors where the ash tray and all that is on... so, think about it, also, i would advice you too look into a store dedicated to sound systems.... best buy sucks as far as i know for installations (at least in here). the only installation issue i could tell you its important to look up for is the correct size for the back speakers

Its not that hard. The WORST part is just taking the seat out and wiring from where the old amp was to where the head unit is.

Thats not that bad, you take the bottomo seat with the white clips, then just onhook the back part and move it forth and back as you work. about the amp, if its on the back thats no worry but under the seat... mmmh a bit more prob

What all are they doing, cuz if it's just a factory amp bypass, $300 is pretty steep. i work at a best buy, and a factory amp bypass usually runs right around $40. But it really all depends on what else you're getting done.
