Default Aftermarket deck in 06 Lancer RalliArt

I have recently purchased a 2006 Lancer RalliArt and was told by the install guy at Future Shop that I will need a special harness (2-3 wks delivery) since the sound system is infinity or something. Upon further review I don't see any brand names on the stereo equipment (speakers, deck, grills) other than Mitsubishi Motors on the stock single CD player. Can I just purchase an aftermarket deck and a general harness or is he right?

to plug straight in, harness adapters are available to plug and play.
Me? I get handy with a soldering iron and cable splices.

i agree with akzle.
the only time you really need the adaptors is in cars that run the turn signal noise thought the speakers or gm cars that have a crappy signal wire. even then i wouldnt buy the fancy harness.

Just look on this forum for your wiring guide, cut the wires and solder or crimp it yourself, youll save 30$ and feel much prouder of the job once alls said and done.
