No you can't. The reason being that the amp actuation signal comes from the radio and the radio isn't going to put out enough power to run the lights without burning up the head unit. If you ran the amp power on line to a relay that actuated when the radio came on it would work. I can explain further if you are interested in doing so. As for a direct connection BAD IDEA unless you want to burn out fuses or possibly the whole head unit.

ya i am interested in knowing how cuz im just doing the lights in the hatchback for now i just thought it would be cleaner to run the wires to the amp since its like right there .....ok u got my kind of counfused bear with me i under stand my amp turns on through the remote wire on the head unit but im trying to run the lights off my amp is the amp pushing the wrong ohms to run the lights?

im just trying to say i don't want to have to run the wires all the way from the back to the front of the car and i really don't want another switch on my dash...hey thanx for your time man
