Turbo ECU on no turbo car

RE: Turbo ECU on no turbo car
Sorry bro, but you can't just throw in a turbo ECU in an n/a car. The fuel maps in a turbo ECU will flood your GS if it even plugs in and Dusty stated, you'll have to consider the MAF, you'll need an MDP sensor on the intake manifold...blah, blah.

You can run a turbo ecu ona non-turbo you just have to add the wiring for the knock sensor , maf and a few other things. Look on vfaq.com, they have a copy of the pinouts for turbo/nonturbo ecu's. Hope that helps.

A turbo ECU has a higher threshold than a non-turbo motor can even handle...think output. Why not build up the motor correctly and use a stand-alone ECU or stick with the stock motor and ECU and then add a turbo and a piggyback computer? Same output, less headache.

...but what's the use? I'm not doggin' ya, but that's a lot of work just to add a turbo onto a non-turbo motor.

Yeah I know what your saying but its really not that hard to do to convert the wiring harness to make it work. And if he did, you could run 9-10 psiw/ supporting mods on a n/a engine.
You could also get a same year turbo wiring harness for next to nothing at a junk yard and it would be a drop in to the non turbo w/ no wire splicing or anything.
