I just bought this car and everything looks good except it needs an oil gasket and a transmission gasket as well as a set of tires. Everything looks to be stock and it only has 138000 miles which I think is ok.

Are there any problems I should look for? I've heard the transmission has given lots of problems but other than that I know of nothing.

Our plan is too slowly restore it. I don't see many of them and would like to keep it around awhile.

 

I use to have a 97 base model. I never had any problems with it. It was a solid car but after a while I wanted a bit more power and sold it for a VR4. But if you just want a good looking solid car then jackpot!
