Default 3000Gt Are they worth it ?

Ok, i've owned a 90-94 Mitsubishi eclipse Gs(non turbo)I have drivin a friends 95-99 Awd/turbo eclipse. and i was wondering compared to these 2 cars how good/bad is the 3000gt ? Im looking to buy the 2.0 twin turbo set-up.(VR4) ? Not sure ? well anyways im looking to buy one and i was wondering is it worth buying more than an awd/turbo eclipse(95-99) ? I'm sure the 3000gt has more power since its twin turbo.but i have no idea which is better. any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

The VR-4 is a 3.0 liter twinturbo V6. If you have the money then yeah you should get the 3000 but to maintain this car requires alot of money(parts are expensive). The eclipse is better for making fast for less money because parts are cheaper and the 4G63 can handle about 25p.s.i.(maybe a little more) with stock internals and proper tuning, the 6G72TT(3000GT) can run reliably running about 20p.s.i on stock internals and proper tuning. The 3000GT is also kinda heavy compared to the Eclipse it is 800lbs heavier. The 3000 also has turbo upgrade limitations because of limited space in the engine compartment I think the best turbos you can put are the T3/T4 . There have been Eclipses that broke into the 9s and the Fastest 3000GT only ran 10s. But if you want the better looking car then definately go with the 3000GT. The Eclipse GSX I think has about 215 horsepower and I know the 3000GT has 320 horsepower@6000rpm and 315lb-ft tq@ 2500rpm. The 3000GT runs 0-60 in the mid 5 sec range and the quarter mile in he mid 13's. So if you have enough money buy the 3000 or if you are planning on running around stock for a while then buy the 3000, but if you want the car with more tuning potential then definately go with the Eclipse

ahahahaha I couldn't of said it better myself. Good job JDM.

Personally i'd go with the 3000GT, seeing as how rare they are. I mean, how many Eclipses do you see out in the street everyday??? Besides the 3000GTs were actually made in Japan. Not like the Eclipse. So, if you're hardcore in to Imports the 3000GT would be a good choice.
