Hi im helping out a friend of mine that doesn't know about fixing cars but im not too fimilair with these car but its a 92 3000gt 24valves non turbo. okay it turns over but check for sparks Nothing, all 6 of do that. it has one of those 3 coil packs. What could make this do that. He said it just died when he stop at a stop sign. Thanks Jeff

 

i just fixed mine, it had the same problem, it was turning over but there was no spark, check the ecu, thats what was wrong with mine. it sounds like exactly the same problem, let me know how you make out with it.

 

could be Alot of things, like the ECU as stated by StealthR/T, could be the coil bad wiring or somthing as simple as a fuse. just one of those things your gonna have to Trace out.

 

I just got a 92 vr-4 mine does the same thing. It idles out...at stop lights or signs, doesn't always do it, but sometimes. It's pretty consistent in starting up though, there are times when i have problems. But my friend and i checked the ecu yesterday and it was normal. So i don't know....if you find the solution lemme know.

 

Just starting to have the same problem, mechanic said its the starter, replaced that still having the problem. Disconnect is the way to go? Also, headlights sometimes dont go,(but do pop up on my 94 gt) any suggestions?

 

I don't know if the car is still broke or not... but if it is, you can check the battery fuse. This fuse is rated at 40 amps and it is located under your hood on the left side in the box with all the other ones. This EXACT same thing happened to me and the break in the filament in the fuse was so small, that when I looked at it, it seemed fine. I teseted it and it was bad. replace that and the car should start.
