Default engine block question

Hi I have a 93 3000gt It has been babied all of it's life and still looks about new, sadly the motor all the sudden started to make a loud nock so I now have to replace it which leads to my next question. It is the 24 valve sl model with the 5 speed. I have a 93 single over head cam motor out of a diamante which has very ungodly low miles on it, I was wondering if I used just the bottom end of this motor and swapped my dual over head cam heads ect to the block if it would work? I have no clue on if the pistons and crank are the same.

I guess my question is are the pistons and crank the same? I know the tt's are different but not sure on the others.

Default RE: engine block question

Short answer, no, the DOHC heads will not work on a SOHC block.
