Full throttle cut out VR-4
When I go full throttle from a stop it cuts out and puffs a big cloud of black smoke. Like it thinks it is overboosting or something. The car is a 1995 VR-4 that is completely stock.. Any ideas?
The MAF is sensing to much air and the computer see's the injectors reaching there max duty cycle so it cuts the fuel for a slit sec to tell you, HEY YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. Most cases it caused by to much boost.
ya right around there. I have looked around for any hoses off or damaged and couldnt find any. I especially inspected the wastegate hoses that go to the intake. I am starting to think i may have a bad MAF sensor which is reading too much air traveling through it and make the computer go into fuel cut off. I am going to get a real boost gauge and go from there.
You have noticed that the engine is a veritable vacuum hose nightmare...
It could be any of them giving you problems. Try making a pressure tester to check for leaks. Good luck.
