well this same problem happened to me. my 3000 was idling really low and would sometimes stall and i would have to restart it. then the car began to over heat and my engine temp guage was up to the red line. it wound up being the thermometer that controls the fans turning on or whatever. i would get that checked out because my machanic said i came real close to blowing my heads from the car over heating.

Odd how the idle would drop all of a sudden...

If it's not the thermostat that controls the fans...or the coolant thermostat...it could be a plugged catalytic converter.

Ok thanks guys I was thinkin it was maybe a bad ignition coil

I was checkin out my car lasnite and there was absolutely no coolant in the car but I dont have any leaks

so I put some water in it so I could see if the fans were comin on they came on but I a lil water spilt on my wires and sparks

just started shooting from the Ignition coil so I figured it was that also because I could smell unburnt fuel so I figured that maybe

two of the cylinders werent ignitin fully changed it out an still idling low so I'll defitinely check that thanks again
