Installing an intercooler, need advice.
It is time to get rid of my stock intercoolers in my 1991 tt gto. I am going to e attempting to put in a big central intercooler to replace the two side stock ones. If anyone has done this, I will appriciiate any feedback or advice I can get. What do I need to cut out of the frame for the intercooler to slide in? Any tips will help.
Thanks

first, never buy anything from ebay. Second, its calleda front mount intercooler. Third, there are so many other things you should do before you do that. You can have like 400awhp before you need to change the intercoolers.
See - www.dynamicracing.com and check out their upgrade sequence.

Yes it is all up to date, I am running about 400 awhp rightnow, and I've been informed that the intercooler should be the next step. Can anyone give me advice on what the best way to go about installing a front-mount intercooler is? Thanks
take off the front bumper and remove stock intercooler setup. from there it should all be bolt on. It was a fairly easy task that I accomplished in roughly3 hours with my kit.
A few companies make some good kits. I also have mine for sale (you can PM me for info). Check out ppeengineering.com and ipsmotorsports.net for some info on front mount intercoolers.
