I just recently purcahsed a mitusbishi 3000gt sl it is a 91. For some reason whenever you are accelerating from 0-40 mph it is very loud than after that is just fine. And it makes my car sound like its on the last leg, and it makes me mad. Anyone have anyidea what is going on with that? I think it might either be a hole in the exhaust or maybe a couple of bad spark plugs, because the owner said he hadnt did a tune up in a 100,000 miles and that car has 260,000 which is a lot but I will be doing a engine swap.

 

if it was something like a hole in the exhaust wouldnt it be loud all the time? what kind of noise does it make?
