Alrighty then. I'm still searching for a miraculous answer to finding a cheap engine and cheap install. If that can't happen than it looks like I probably won't take the car.

Just putting this out there, what about an 89 Supra Turbo (one turbo) with high miles for 4 grand. A guy I used to work with is selling it but I'll only offer 3 and he wont take it.

We have one here. our neighbor across the street is trying to sell his? $1500. It's pretty beat though.

They only sell, for TOPS, 3k, and that's modified and in nearly pristine condition. They're worth their value in scrap metal, that's about it.

How come you guys wouldn't touch it? I sell Toyotas and know that they're good quality.

The car is in great condition. No rust, no winters. It was from California and he brought it back here when he got out of the Air Force. It has a new 3' exhaust new plugs and wires, and he had the gaskets replaced 3 years ago when he bought it. It has 164k miles on it. I think he said something about RX7 rims but I don't remember for sure.

because it's a blown SL. They're worth like, $1500, in running condition. It's a waste of money to buy a blown SL. For the money you're going to be spending to fix the car, you can buy a Vr-4

if you can find a real nice one, then go for it. you can get fairly low mileage ones for under 3k.
