Mitsubishi 3000GT During it's production run, and after, the 3000GT was a pure sports car offering forced induction and all wheel drive, as well as smooth aerodynamic styling.

My friend is looking to buy a car and hes got a very very tight budget. He wants this 3000GT below, but neither of us know anything about it, so maybe you guys could shed some light

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post craigslist links or not, but here's some info what the ad says
"One of a kind Mitsubishi 3000GT V6 5speed with 182k miles. Power windows, cold A/C, Pioneer Radio with r/c. Very clean in and out, super fast! Asking $3000 "
It's red in color and looks to be in good condition.

Do you guys know anything specific about this year of 3000GT? Maybe in 94 they improved something or they had a problem or just any general info about if this would be a good buy? he cant spend more than $3,000 sadly.. It looks very nice though. Here's the pics from the ad:

Hello,

I am also looking to get a 3000gt as my first car. I have done some research of course. 1994 was the year when they got their first revamp. This is when they changed some things such as the flip up headlights with projector lights. They also added a passenger airbag so the base model comes with both a driver and passenger airbag.

I don't find this to be a very good deal. With that many miles you may have to do a lot of work and if he is on a tight budget he should try and find something with less miles or with a rebuilt or swapped engine. I have been looking around and found some deals. One I found on craigslist from a private dealer who was selling a 95 3000gt with only 107,000 miles for $1850. It ran and was in good mechanical condition and only had minor problems like that the drivers side window wasn't working properly and needed work. I would keep looking until you find something cheaper with less miles. 182k is a lot for the price he is asking.

Good luck!
