Rebuild help?
OK i recieved a 1992 dodge stealth twin turbo. AWD. for free from a friend the engine has a knock. the vavle cover gasket blew and covered the clucth in oil. anyway i got the engine out of it and am looking for good rebuild kits. i found some on ebay for like $500 but i dont know if there any good. I drove a civic before so im new to this car. If any one could give me some direction on what to do to make this car run again and bereliable i would appriciate it.also im looking for a good clucth but not sure what to get i was planning on getting some stuff from 3sx.

I have no idea what tigerjapanese is, never dealt with them.
Rebuilding from a spun bearing is a LOT of work (re: what causes the knocking sound you hear), and parts are expensive, and these engines are VERY finicky, and have a low threshold for mistakes. The crankshaft alone is $750-$800 from the dealer, and that's just one part you need to replace.
The cylinder walls could be scored, bent rods, metal shavings in your oil pan. Everything needs to be disassembled, checked, cleaned, rechecked, re-cleaned, rechecked again, assembled, disassembled and check the clearances, reassembled, cleaned some more, replcae the oil cooler, oil pump, oil pickup tube, bearings, possibly rods/pistons, and after all of that, you're spending close to $3k in parts.
Just buy a good used engine/oil cooler, for like $1500, drop it in, and call it a day.
