Hi i just bought a used motor and had the mechanic install it and before he even started it up the head was leaking antifeeze could someone tell me how and y this happeed. I need your help ASAP.

 

Where was it leaking antifreeze. Like is it just around a hose?

 

the mechanic said it was comming out the head and i just bought it and the company i bought it from said there was no way that it could do that. And i dont know anything about cars this is my sons car and and yes im the mom. they said they tested it. im just lost about ready to just say forget it

 

sounds like the engine was cracked if its leaking from the head good luck. Should call the company where you had it installed and tell them but i know if you installed the engine its no good if you dont have the warranty and if you did they will still give you the run around. But make sure everything is hooked up right dont jump the gun check the hoses and make sure its all good and if its leaking you wated a good amount of money so good luck and hope its something minor.

 

If it's leaking anti-freeze from the head it could be the head gasket or something with the intake, it doesn't necessarily mean the block is useless
