ORIGINAL: highlander/gto

the fastest vr4/tt conversion i know was nelsons auto on 3si ,it was in the 9's.most of the uk owners want to get about 400-500bhp from theirs

his was not even close to the fastest...he never got out of the 10's even ray pampenas car was faster then his i believe. however nelson has some projects being built that are said to break into the 8's soon.

OK, well nvm about that car, it turns out my dad doesn't want to buy one over the internet; he'll only buy one that is local.

How hard do you think it would be to get a decent one that is local (using auto trader).......I live around Seattle, WA.

I found one, but it had like 255HP, and looked like crap........

It will be extremely hard. (damn near impossible)

I would do you best do prewade him. It is well worth taking the time to travel the distance to pick one up. Not to mention the ride home will be fun and a good learning experiance.

GSXs are rare as it is. Take the good ones where you can get them

Well if we did get one from not so near here, we would probably have it shipped rather than spending the time to go get it. I'm already saving a couple grand as is getting a cheaper car.....

But ya, you can bet your @$$ i'm goin to try to change his mind.

sebba he's going to be running 7's anyway. for the price he's paying for wutever car he gets he's not gonna even come close to 11's in mods. burnout most likely wont put enough mods onto a gsx to beat a stock vr4. the gsx is nice and there's a hell of a lot more you can do to it. it's damn near impossible to find as many aftermarket parts for a vr4 compared to a gsx that wont run you a ton of money. like i said, subaru wrx 2002-2003. just a little slower than youre basic vr4, you can mod it real well, and youre dad cant say know to a subaru for it's reliability reputation. and theyre not that hard to find. also if you still want a gsx, i found one for you (1999 gsx with 66000 miles for $5500) orangy goldish color with a carbo fiber hood. looks nice for a pretty stock car. where do u live so i can tell you if it's worth paying the shipping.

Lol, it kinda got big in a hurry.

And ya, right now i'm leaning towards a DSM. But i'm not going to make it myself; just buy one someone has already done.

@3000gtman: are you saying i should buy a stock GSX?

Yes. People don't build fast cars to drive them slowly. If you bought an already modded car, you could almost bet that the owner has used it for its intended purpose.
