Default Where to get

I'm trying to source a gearbox from a FWD 93+ (I think?) 3000GT that came with the LSD from the factory.

I dont know if they're 6 or 5 speed, where to get them or how much they cost, but I want one.

Any ideas/help will be appreciated. I dont know much about 3000GT's at all so sorry if this seems really stupid

Cheers.

I don't think any 3S tranny came with a LSD. All FWD trannies are 5 speeds. At some point 94 or later the TT/AWD went to a Getrag 6 speed.

You can purchase a LSD aftermarket. Quaife and Kaze both make a LSD for the trannies. Someone on 3si, speedfreaksteve I think, makes some kind on insert that can be installed.

Do a Google search for Kormex or T.R.E. They seem to be the main tranny upgrade folks for those trannys.

The FWD tranny is very similar (internals anyway) to DSM.

Cheers mate. Looks like I've been lied to by someone who SHOULD know better.

I think I'll just do my own research and buying from now on

Cheers again
