Default 2003 Diamante Turbo ?!?

I have a 2003 Diamante. I love the car, but would like to get some more performance out of it. Has anyone ever done or heard of someone doing a turbo conversion on a Diamante in the US? I have found some info/links on guys who have done it in Australia and even PR, but not in the states. I have no clue where to start as far as parts go. I have found "universal" turbo kits that will theoretically work, but I am leary about anything like that. I have also heard that it is possible to convert to AWD, but haven't seen any examples of that. Help anyone???

do NOT turbocharge your diamante. you are guaranteed to have nightmares and destroyed driveline componants.

if its performance is inadequate to you, get a faster car.

Thank you for your response. Can you please elaborate? I wasn't planning on simply adding the turbo without additional mods to the engine.

As far as a "faster" car, what would you suggest in the Mitsubishi family? Please keep in mind that I require a 4-door sedan with enough room for 4 adults, that is also fairly inconspicuous.

Thanks again...

If you want some power increase and if you haven't already done so, first change the rear muffler for a freer flowing one, you can gain 8kw alone, then look at a decent cold air intake.
If you wanna turbo...go for it!

Register at www.aussiemagna.com, these guys know there stuff as the diamante is an Aussie built car.

the evolution is a 4 seater vehicle, or the lancer rally art. both are turbo charged vehicles from the factory. plenty of get up and go.
