Default 99 Diamante clicking sound at start

Hello!,
I own a '99 MITS Diamante and it is an absolutely great car. Since last 2 weeks there is a clicking sound (tik tik) for like 30 seconds when I start the car or turn the key on to ignition position. It goes away after 30 seconds of the car starting or being in ignition position. I dont know what the problem is? Can anyone help?

Also, the tik tik sound goes away if I turn the temperature dial to above 80 degrees and then comes again when I lower it down. Please help. I have checked the battery and alternator and both seem to be fine.

Thanks,

Sara

Do you know where the clicking noise is coming from? I am betting on a temperature blend door motor.

The sound seems to be coming from behind the dashboard. Surprisingly today the sound went off but teh check engine light came on. Says cylinder 3 misfired.

Thanks,

Sara

I have the same problem with my 01 LS. It's probably because the climate control isn't working. My A/C doesn't work but that may be only my car's problem. It has to be the climate control system "air condition/heat"because it stops when you turn the heat up to the 70's & 80's
