Hi everybody. I have an 06 Endeavor andsomewhere in the engine compartment itmakes a sound at around 1500rpm. Sounds similar to a home window air conditioner kicking on. That shaking hollow metal bottle sound. I have always figured that it was part of the AC unit and have had the "if it aint broke dont fix it" attitude but it is really starting to annoy me. Does anyone else have that same sound?

Also, as a note, I recently had a hitch installed and did the wiring myself. I ordered a harness from a Mitsu dealer online for about $40.00. There is a factory connection underneath one of the interior panels in the back (left to the spare lid). You just plug it in and you are basically all set. The wiring harness comes with a grommet attached that feeds thru an existing hole. It took me about 15 min from start to finish. I saved about $60 doing it myself.

 

You should still be under warranty, have the dealer look at the noise.
