Key stuck, shift knob button won't pop out

Key stuck, shift lock won't pop out Endeavor Help!
When I put my 2004 Endeavor in park the shift lock ( switch ) sometimes sticks and won't pop out while in park, giving it a slap to the right or left sometimes works, but when this happens I can't get the key to come out (won't turn all the way). I wonder if this has anything to do with the a/c WATER leak on the drivers side that I also have, any help with this PLEASE !
