Thanks for the info. So the timing is like every other vehicle I work on, thought it was something different. Then my next, maybe stupid, question is, how does this get adjusted on the Endeavor? I am assuming it needs to be done electronically with a programmer?

I will clean the throttle body plate this weekend, and I plan on hooking up my smoke machine to hunt for leaks. Hopefully I find it.

Am going thru same replacement of gasket & spark plug tube seals tomorrow, are the seals hard to get to and pull out & what should I use (long needle nose pliers, dentist tool?) 99/Galant/2.4 Thanks

I still have to clear the check engine light with my code reader, unless it goes off on its own before I see my brother again.

Thanks for the help, and I will give another update this coming weekend, but I think it is fixed.
I am going to replace valve cover gasket & spark plug seals on my 1999 2.4L -wondering how difficult it is to reach/remove seals...Thx
