Default tire chains??

Has anyone ever use chains on their endeavor? Reading the manual, it states that you cannot put chains on your endeavor. Granted that my endeavor is a 4WD, but when it is icy outside, 4WD doesn't help much.

tire chains are archaic. Buy modern snow tires, as they are FANTASTIC.

Personally, I don't think that the best snow tires can out-performed chains when the roads are icy.

you're quite wrong.

snow tires have the ability to grip as well, without the destroying the suspension, tire, or car as chains would. they are also not limited to 30 MPH, and wont kill someone when they fly apart.

go buy a set of blizzacks. You'll be amazed. Plus, you can actually legally travel on a highway at decent speeds.

these may be an option of you do not have snow tires, they keep the clearance to the suspension that limits the Endeavor's use of chains.

There is a guy that canchange a regular tires to Spike Tires.

I am not sure whereI saw the show, it might beonspeedchannel or discovery but he is the world champion for ice racing.

I think he uses bikes.

He put some spike on his tire and glued.
He drilled a hole on the tires and put the spike and then he glue the interior of the tires so the spike will hold and the air will not come outand to put air in it

What ever tires you use IT WILL NEVER GRIP ON SOLID ICE, wet snow or black ice.

you will be sliding all over the place. trust me mother nature is tough.

Tires with spikes is better than chains.

Chains are old school!!!!

studs are illegal in most states.

a decent snow tire has nearly 1000% more grip than summer tires.

buy some, then drive smart.. You know, like theres snow and ice on the ground.

Tire chains are not recommended for any mitsu. cause they're archaic.

Default studded tires (maybe)

I've never had problems in snow with my Endeavor. On icy hills (glare ice), I have had problems. Studded tires may help on ice but avoiding it is better.

My only problem has been going downhill - never going up.
