if you didnt use mitsubishi genuine trans fluid thats your problem. aftermarket stuff will cause your issue. mitsubishi calls it torque converter shudder.

Thanks a lot. But this make me ask you two things:
1. this problem could be fix only if i replace trans fluid or this imply that the trans already is damage?
2. what kind of trans fluid can i use because here (dominican republic) i cannot get original one, when i bought trans fluid i go to mitsubishi dealer (exclusive here) and they sell me GULF ATF Dx III (dexron III g). I ask them if this is that my SUV use, they answered "this is that we use for all mitsubishi with automatic transmission!!!!"

1. if you change the fluid soon it should fix the problem. but damage can occur if you keep driving it
2. dextronIII is designed for general motors vehicles. in the states its a well known fact that anything other than mitsubishi spIII in that model can cause the problems your having. only advice i can offer is to find the number of a dealer here in the states that you can buy it from and have it shipped too you.

Thanks a lot, but a can't wait for shipment, i'm still looking for ATF fluid here....

Searching in the web, i find that here in DR people solve this problem with an additive (
Highly Friction Modified ATF (HFM-ATF) Supplement with LXE® Technology)...

I'll try a few days and will tell you what's going with this.

well the two usual reasons for transmission issues are transmission fluid and transmission mount. since u have already checked the fluid , check the other one for faults.
