Thanks. I'll talk to the dealership. I am thinking of doing some rallying with the car, need to find out what mods are required/recommended. Definetly want to flash the thing... just not sure who to choose Any ideas?

Having done some research, I have found that it is in fact the case that the EU version of the EVO 9 only has 280hp as opposed to 286. (This can be confirmed on the Estonian, Swedish, German... etc. mitsubishi dealership sites. The car accelerates 0-100kmh or 0-62mph in 5.7s)

Also I've found that "...Japanese-spec cars were limited by a gentleman's agreement to advertise no more than 280 hp (206 kw)". (Wikipedia) However the real output for a Japan-spec Evolution IXwas about 320 PS.

Assuming that it is the same for European marketsm, question remains, what on earth is the real output of the European version of the EVO? [:@]
