Ok so im at work screwing around at work like aleways and found out the 2003 evos have 2 different engine the difference is the 8th number in the vin is either a F then the codes 122/01997 or its a ] then the codes 122/01998 wtf is the difference???

^^Usually the 8th number of the VIN is the engine code but you probably already know that.

Actually I didn't.

The engine is exactly the same... maybe they changed the way they do the vin?

the motors are all the same. UK evos are different as the motors had different levels of power from the factory though. USDM Evos 03-04 are all identicle
