I'm new here so first off hello. Second I'm posting on behalf of my dad who isn't very tech savvy.

Okay so here's the problem. The car starts up fine. Shifts into first and second gear with no problems but when it goes into third gear there is no torque and the transmission slips. There's no pull. Will downshift back to first when u stop not smoothly. It kinda jerks but it does downshift. What could be causing the problem? if u need any more information. Just ask and Ye shall recieve.

I thank anyone in advance for helping with this problem.

It's an automatic 2.0L transmission. Just fyi.
