Default 1999 galant idle problems

I had to replace my battery and now it won't idle. Any ideas?

***THIS JUST IN***

I checked other areas of the Web and found a way for my Galant to relearn the idle.

1) disconect the battery for 30 min.
2) turn on the engine wait 10 seconds then shut off.
3) repeat this 3 times
4) on 4th time leave the engine run for 10 min.

it worked for me, I hope it helps others.

Whenever you disconnect the battery terminal from the car, the computer has to learn how to idle all over again. My 2000 galant takes a week to re-lern... This means I will have the car die for about a week while the computer "learns" how low the car can idle before it dies... It's a major pain in the butt, but it will get better. Just keep a cahrge on the battery, let the car die at intesections, and re-start... Also, it will have to learn how to idle with the AC on too...
