2011 Galant - Hood Release Broken
I went out to start my 2011 Galant and noticed that none of the electronics were working and that the car would not make any sound when I turned the key. I knew I needed to jump the battery to get it started. I went to pull the hood release and it felt very loose, there was no tension. I tried hitting the hood while pulling on the hood release. I tried using pliers to pull on the cable itself from in the car. I still have yet to be able to get the hood open.
It seems that it's a bad design flaw that there's no way to open the hood when the cable is broken.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?
