Engine sound when start in morning

Default Engine sound when start in morning

Hi Guys,

I am hearing this peculiar sound when i start my engine in the morning. this sound goes away after some time. This also happens when i am coming from office in the evening. i am not sure whats happening. today morning when i go out i even see couple of other cars making this kind of sound. is this okay or any problem?

pleas help.

its sounds like : kir kir kir kir

but this sound only for some time..when the engine is heated for 30min , the sound is gone..

The sound you hear is lifter tick. It is very common on mitsu engines, especially the 4g63 and 4g64. It's nothing to be worried about but if it bothers you then you could try adding something like marvel mystery oil or seafoam to your oil and it will help clear it up.
