Default First time owner of a Galant!!!

Hi there, I have just bought a '96 Galant, and this is my first Mitsubishi and so far I am very impressed. I was just wondering what is the best induction kit to buy and where the best places are that I can get aftermarket parts and bits from! And if anyone has any tips for me it will be much appreciated! Cheers. Glenn

Don't...
Well you can, but to be honest it really depends of what model galant you have....
I have the v6-24v 2.5l model, to be honest I swapped out by air box, for a KN cone and got a fantastic, a little improvement, and droped to 220 miles to a tank...
We have a big discourse going on about it, at the clubvr4 forum...

I have the 2.0L V6 24V Auto model. To be honest I am finding the miles to the gallon quite bad and thought an induction kit might help. Do you know of anything that would my miles to the gallon. Also didn't understand all of your message - 'to be honest I swapped out by air box, for a KN cone and got a fantastic, a little improvement, and droped to 220 miles to a tank' . ? . ? is there a few words missin? LOL! Can you let me know how to get to the Clubvr4 forum too. Cheers.

try ebay if they sell Short Ram Intake or Cold Air intake if that's what you are looking for.
you need a tune up your car if the gas mileage is bad my friend make it major tune up?replace everything and buy RESTORE engine additives. Restore cost 5 buck at Autozone.

put Restore after you oil change and fuel additives like Lucas gas additives it a small bottle that you can buy autozone or any other auto store.

If you want to know how much per gallon on your car put a 4 gallon on your tank and reset the counter to 000,000 miles that 4 gallons should get you 100 miles or more
if lower than 100 miles or around 60 miler for gallons that would be bad.

remember only 4 gallons and reset the counter to 0000
I have 2008 Lancer 2.5 gallons on my car can go to 100 miles or more

Remember that most Galants that you see are V6's and are very highly strung... Any changes have heavy consequences
I can now live with the 280 miles per tank...

You also need to remeber that the weight of the galants is how should we say, Oh yeah! HEAVY, mine has the full electric, heated leather interior, weighs a hell of a lot...

Ah right american model yes...

I dont think we get the 2ltr V6 version in the UK only the 2.5ltr V6 or the twin turbo 2.5ltr V6 we all seem to get about 250 -300 miles a tank...
