Default Problem at low RPM's-2.4L Galant'03

Hi,
I have experienced a problem at low RPM's - in taffics my engine oil lamp is getting on. It shutts off after RPM's are at appr. 750 per minute and higher.
I changed the air filter and the spark plugs. The engine oil is at the required level. The car has 69,000 miles on it.
Does anyone know what can be the reason for these low RPM's?
Thanks.

Hmm you should try resetting your ECU and resetting it by unplugging your battery for about 30 minutes, that could help...just a suggestion.

Does this only happen during traffic or any time the car is idling?

Check the intake manifold at the trottle body - the intake manifold on the I4 99-03 Galants have been known to crack at the area near the trottle body.

While you are at it, you might try cleaning your throttle body as well.
