Default Stops after 5-10 sec…..

The problem: It starts without problem when it has been resting for a while. When I stop the engine either it has become hot or it is still cold the following happen: it starts easily, but stops after 5-10 sec. Not able to get the engine running until it has been off (resting) for some hours (overnight). Any idea of what is wrong?

Galant 1997/98, 2 litre GLI, 2,0i16V 4G63

Sorry for my ignorance but could you explain a bit more/better what you mean with "to the mass" - I do not understand "mass" and also I do not know what "tps" is. I'm Norwegian and my English is not fluent - and I'm also new to Galant and "new cars". Thanks :-)

mass airflow sensor (MAF). will be air hose between air inlet at front of car and other end to throttle body. MAF is usually located somewhere inbetween. Galant shouldnt be too much different than the Diamante. Have all your sensors analyzed. TPS = throttle position sensor. is your "service engine" light on? Check to see if there are any codes.
