transmission trouble

Default transmission trouble

96 galant is stuck in limp in mode has a p1750 code any suggestions

That code isn't listed in the OBD II codes list here in the forums...can you re confirm thats the code?

I had a 95 Galant and when my transmission went into failsafe mode (stayed only on 3rd gear) it was because my TCU had failed.

hello! p1750 is a tranny code, but will show up in the MFI as a general code.you will have to get a scanner that will go into the trans data in the vehicle, there you should find more trans codes that will give you a better idea of whats going on. if you cant access the trans data, a message like cant communicate. the TCU could be bad like 4grim said. keep us posted! greg...
