03 lancer timing
My timing belt wore out on my 03 lancer. I think I avoided damaging the valve train. However now I cannot seem to find any information regarding resetting the timing. Can anyone post a link or offer some advice. Thanks a lot. Danny-----
what do you mean "reset" the timing?
theres nothing to "reset". If you broke a timing belt, your valves are damaged. you need to remove and rebuild the head, then replace the timing belt.

I Think what Dan ment to say is re-do timing, Timing isnt easy on just about any car takes hours to do it and you have to remove alot accs. the reasone is timing is done by lineing up the marks on the Crank pulley to your Cam pulley. so your going to remove your belts maybe alternator power steering pulley out of the way if you dont know how to do it and Dont want to spend2hour learning how to do it dont waste your time go to mechanic/tech it is going to be expensive.
BTW you might have damaged your valves you would be very lucky if u didnt atleast bent them. That could cause problems with your pistons they might have taken a beating the could have cracked. So make sure your pistons are fine your not going to be able tell much from seeing them threw the top but your might get lucky.
