Default 04 Lancer "Heavy Steering"

My 04 Lancer ES has heavier than normal steering! I domt think its the ball joints, I think its the power steering, all the fluid levels are correct.
Has anyone with a Lancer experienced the same problem?

Power steering belt. It might be ready to snap or power steering Column broken.

replace the belt ASAP or the power steering fluid is not distributed well enough on the column.

Heavy steering can also be caused by bad wheel alignment. Just another thing to consider or have checked.
