Default 2002 cam sprocket removal

I have a 2002 Lancer ES with the 2.0 liter. The head gasket is blown and I'm trying to get the head off. I'm following the Chilton manual (it's a POS) and have everything ready except for getting the cam sprocket removed. The timing belt is new so I'm not planning on replacing it. Chilton's says to move to TDC and then remove the sprocket. Bolt on the sprocket aint budging. Any suggestiions?
