hi everybody i just bought my lancer today and well 1 foglight was out. (the bottom right one to be exact) is there anywhere i can just get a single right side foglight? i have only been able to find pairs of them and also if i do indeed need to buy a pair does any1 no of ne smoked foglights?

 

That's odd they usually last long. i have 40,000 on my 08 lancer and they are still fine.

just replace bought bulb on the foglight if you only install one it will blow the other one.

Buying a new ifoglightis not recommended it is apain to install it and especially the wirings.

 

Thanks allot for your help, unfortunatly when i uncovered the fog light cover i pulled out the light and found out it wasnt connected to anything! well i searched and searched for the wire and nothing. i undid the left side to kinda get an idea where to look and i still couldnt find the same thing on the right side. sucks. any help with this would be much appreciated.

 

the harness runs across the bumper and should be the same on both sides. look for a connector under where the hood latch is located. follow that harness and you will find the connector

 

thank you for your advice. i searched and searched and could not find anything but it looks as if there might have been some small front end damage by the previous owner that was repaired and maybe the tech left out that wire or stuffed it someweres. Does anybody know if this is something i can get fixed under warranty and if so what kind of paperwork do i need in order to get work done under warrranty? (the owners manual did not come with the car at purchase) might be a stupid question but this is the first time ive bought a car that is still under factory warranty. I'm thinking it should be obvious because its an 08 and it has 28000 mi on it i just dont want any problems with the dealership.

 

if you have the warranty switched over thats a start. but if its been in an acident and sufferd damage, goodbye to getting it fixed under warranty.

 

the warranty switched over? meaning from the previous owner or the dealership? if this is what you mean how do i go about doing that? is that something that the dealership will do? if it isnt obvious already im pretty new to all this as i said before this is my first newer car purchase and the first time i have done it alone. well i suspect front end damage but the title is clear and the carfax is clean does that matter or will the dealership outright void the warranty.? thanks to everyone who has helped me out with all of this! i was skeptical about joining this forum at first but everyone has been great and i hope to soon be on the other end of this helping another lancer owner out.

 

if you pm me the last 8 digits of the vin i can tell you about your warranty. keep in mind that mitsubishi warranties are for factory defects or items that failed prematurely under normal use.
