2013 Lancer cvt fluid
I have a 2013 Lancer Gt with cvt and I just hit 58,000 miles on my car. I took it to the dealership last week and they said I need the get the cvt fluid changed and it's going to be $175. Now I'm 21 and this is only my second car so I don't really know but I talked to my dad and he said he's never had his transmission fluid changed and he's never had any problems with his vehicles but idk if he's ever had a cvt or if they're even any different/more fragile of a transmission or whatever. So basically what I'm asking is if I should even worry about getting it changed, and if I should, is $175 a reasonable price to get that done, or should I look somewhere else, or just do it myself?

Defiantly don't miss a fluid change when it comes with the this CVT trains. Especially if the car is still under warranty. I have a 2015 and the car came with a 5yr 60k mile bumper to bumper and 10yr 100k drivetrain. standard gear transmissions is ok to go longer but the CVT I wouldn't miss. Defiantly see what the manual says is the best advise.
