Hi, I am just wondering what would be the best way to go to upgrade my pretty much stock 03 Oz rally up so it can even come close to my buds srt 4. Right now I only have a magnaflow muffler on my car. Everything else is completely stock. Would buying a turbo system and all those goodies be worth it for a 4g94 engine? or will it still fall short of around 240ish hp? or how about an engine swap from a 2g gs x/t and all the turbo goodies for that? also how much you think it will cost me to do all this? Any input at all is appreciated.

I would say that if your going to add a turbo you should get forged connecting rods, positions and a forged crank first. this way you can get a lot of boost and not end up throwing a rod and destroying your whole engine and having to start over with a new engine. this way is more expensive but well worth it. I don't know much about the engine swap so i can't help you there sorry.

...agreed. It's not worth the money to upgrade the g94 to a turbo. Might as well buy an evo. It's an economy car and an srt4 is not. stock srt4s arent really that fast anyway.

If you want to make it sound and look nice, I would stick with an injen/aem cold air intake and maybe tint the windows. Makes the car look nice while staying away from making it look like rice.

 

My friend put a turbo on his and found a great gain..
but if your wanting your car to be superfast.. then your gonna have to buy something that is already set up to be fast.
like an Evo, I have the 09 Lancer.. and for me to make that car real quick i would have to put alot of money. which one should put towards something else you know?

 

but on the potic can some one direct me in the mods I should be doing..without going turbo

you can get some decent results with an exhaust system.

injen makes a great full system.

i have one for sale 'cause i traded my lencer in on a ralliart.
