I'm loving it! It drives smooth, has plenty of power (that 2.4 just wants to go..) and has been well taken care of (yay carfax).

It's got 57k miles on it so soon I will need to do a fairly hefty maintenance. I did go ahead and purchase an extra warranty, however.

So I have two questions for you all.

1. Where can I find low key bolt-on performance parts for this thing? I'm looking for intake, exhaust, ignition type things. I'm not looking to beat on it, or race it, I just want that extra umph.

2. Have there been any known issues with the rear suspension on these cars? I'm hearing an odd noise, a low-toned squeeking that seems to happen on light bumps when the shocks/struts move slowly(like in the case of a light dip in the road).

Any thoughts?

I don't think Road Race Motorsports sell parts for the Sportback because they rare cars in USA.

If you are in Australia Racing Performance Works is the best place to buy parts for Mitsu.

i have an 04 Lancer OZ rally...im also hearing the same noise from my back wheel. i took it to a mechanic he said everything looks ok. then i took it to Mitsubishi dealership, he drove it but he said he didnt hear anything...but im hearing it...looking for a solution for that tooo.. its annoying...
