The tailgate raised up a bit on one side when I opened it 2 months ago. This raised edge stops the gate from opening a second time once closed. Today the other side did the same thing and the wagon gate is 1/8 to 1/4 raised above the roof line.

I can't get the hatch open now. Opening the gate jams the top of the gate against sheet metal. How do I get it off?

Update: I've gotten it open by standing on top of the car and pushing down while my wife opened it. (Sorry, the video didn't turn out. Unless my neighbor caught it. )
Then I loosened the hinge bolts so I could close it. Could it be the hinges rusted tight and warped the whole thing? Anybody have this happen?
