Default RE: Tire Pressure

optimal tire pressure varies fom tire to tire, car to car , and driver to driver.

there is a way to "read" your tire to get the best contact patch without feathering the edges of your tires.

basically , start with a high pressure ,close to max rated.

look at your tires after driving several miles to see how much of the tire is contacting the road.

let out some air (in 2 psi increments) until you can tell that just the tread suirface is contacting the road.

you do not want to see any wear on the far outside edges.

what ever the pessures end up at is what the correct tire pressure for YOUR tire , YOUR car and Your driving style.
